Uganda’s Jewish community is electing its first delegate to the World Zionist Congress 2025. A historic opportunity for Abayudaya to make its voice heard on the global stage.
Qualifications for a voter.
For one to be qualified to vote, He/She must;
- Be a current member of ZIMU.
- Be a permanent resident of Uganda.
- Be 18 years & Above.
- Be a Ugandan citizen.
- Be jewish, a conversion certificate will be proof incase of any contention.
- Accept the Jerusalem program.
Qualifications for Delegate Candidature
One shall qualify to contest as Uganda’s delegate to the World Zionist Congress 2025 if He/She;
- Is a member of ZIMU.
- Is a permanent resident of Uganda.
- Is recommended by five(5) members of ZIMU.
- Is endorsed by an international Zionist Party.
- Has paid a non refundable nomination fee of UGX 200,000 to the ZIMU account: A/C 1014201413152.
- Presents a colored passport size photograph.
Nomination of Delegate
The AEC reserves the right to declare a candidate duly nominated. Below are the prerequisites for nomination.
- Must be recommended by five members of ZIMU.
- Nomination forms shall be picked at Mukono City Site hotel on August 1, 2025 starting from 9:00am to 12:00 noon, or downloaded from this official website and printed by candidates.
- Nomination forms shall be returned physically in person and in hardcopy to the UAEC at Mukono City Site hotel on Thursday August 7, 2025 starting from 10:00am up to 4:00pm
