The Zionist Movement Uganda(ZIMU) is thrilled to invite Jewish communities and families in Uganda to participate in the World Zionist Organization (WZO) special Hanukkah cooking program, designed to bring people together and celebrate the Festival of Lights.

Join us for a culinary journey of tradition, community, and joy!

This unique program is an opportunity for you to share your favorite Hanukkah recipe, tell your story, and learn some Hebrew with us! Our program is open to all communities and families, and we’ll feature your stories and pictures on the ZIMU Website.

Here’s what to expect:

• Share a traditional or modern Hanukkah recipe that holds meaning to you
• Tell your Hanukkah story, and have it told by the voice of African Jews
• Learn some Hebrew phrases and words to enhance your Jewish experience
• Connect with other Jewish communities and families in Uganda
• Be part of a special celebration of Jewish heritage and culture

Program Details:

• The program will be self-funded by participating communities or families
• We’ll provide you with a platform to share your story, recipe, and pictures
• Your community or group will be featured on the ZIMU Website
• We’ll share your story with the WZO department for recognition

How to Participate:

1. Choose a Hanukkah recipe that you love and would like to share with the community
2. Write a short story about what Hanukkah means to you and your community
3. Send us your recipe, story, and pictures to info@zionistmovementuganda.com.
4. We’ll feature your story on our website and social media channels
5. Join us for a special Hanukkah celebration, where we’ll share your story and recipe with the community!
